Nutrition Month

July is Nutrition Month. It is the time of the year when the public’s attention on nutrition is being focused. It is mandated under Section 7 of Presidential Decree No. 491 (Nutrition Act of the Philippines, June 25, 1974) which states that “the month of July shall be designated as Nutrition Month for the purpose of creating awareness among the people on the importance of nutrition. This year’s theme is ”Wastong nutrisyon kailangan, lifestyle diseases iwasan!"
